JD Torque Motor Type Cable Drum

Overview: JDF torque motor type cable drum is applicable to metallurgical vehicles of mode F suspended winding. The drum is fixed at a platform of a certain height or suspended overhead. The control circuit of this series of cable drums is connected to the entire control system in parallel, realizing automatic cable release and winding and synchronizing the speed with that of the operating equipment. It is also configured with a torque adjusting device to assure synchronous able release and winding and reduce the tension exerted on cable, extending the service life of cable to the greatest extent.

Structural characteristics of torque motor type cable drum:

It consists of a host, a reel and a controller. The controller is used to adjust the value of winding torque.

Caution: The driving motor of the cable drum is power-on even during cable release, and the phase sequence is the same as the cable collection direction. 

Working principle of torque motor type cable drum:1. Cable release: When the mobile equipment disconnects from the power supply, the cable will be pulled out under the effect of tension. At this moment, the torque motor is in reversed rotation for braking (the motor must be power-on).2. Cable winding: When the mobile equipment moves towards the power supply, the motor of the cable drum will start up synchronously, drive the reducer and transmit power to the drum to make it wind up the cable.3. During shutdown: The brake acts and ensures the cable will not slip off the reel under the action of gravity when the motor is power-off.
